We have a couple in our office. One thinks he can just laugh and joke with people but he’s been given the cold shoulder by many even his partner isn’t keen on working with him now.

If you do work during a strike you have to be prepared for the consequences of that.

You could just grow up act like an adult . You don't know everyone's personal circumstances. There are many many reasons why they may not want to or can't strike and their opinions are as valid as yours or indeed anyone's.

It's the 21st century by the way. Things have moved on an people are allowed to have different opinions and as an adult you should accept that someone may have a different opinion than you and not act like a child

Lots of people have different opinions. There are neo Nazis, racists etc should we all just accept it's there right to have them opinions and accept it? Or can we decide we don't really agree with their views and avoid them and not converse with them?

While it is his right to work and not strike or be called names or threatened or treated with vengeance or non communication to get the work done. But he must have known it will never be the same again as it was before HE decided to go his own way people may not trust him or like what he has done but it is his decision and will have to live with it.

If someone wants to cross a picket line and go to work during a strike,then their choice,their life to do as they see fit
Equally my choice to ignore them as i see fit...if they speak to me regarding work matters - i will be polite,concise and no more...and ignore them any other time.

At the end of the day you cannot make people like you but you can make people hate you. It is like two sides of a coin it never lands on it's end and where it falls is destiny! But you have your own control of the near future and thus it is your own choice as you come full circle but you still cannot make people like you, While you burned down the bridges you made and expect them to bridge the gap or build a bridge too you and welcome you. Everyone will be different offices will be different this is not a lesson in humanity I don't have all the answers but it only takes seconds to think and a lifetime too repent this should be a mantra for all!
