Nobody is asking for a running commentary, we all know this isn’t easy and most of us are in it for the long haul but the communication no matter how little has to improve otherwise questions will continue to be asked.Martin Walsh wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 17:58Hopefully your hear tomorrow that the CWU have been active behind the scenes but it is impossible to have a running commentary on everything which happens this week. There was a Postal Executive meeting on Tuesday which debated next steps to the dispute. You would have seen also an LTB on unagreed revisions, SIS0 and the RMPFS strike dates.

They cant win! When they do regularly communicate we then get people on here moaning at them for not having anything important to say.chickenwittle wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 17:34It’s not acceptable to say absolutely nothing to the workforce for a whole week , they announced talks broke down a week ago today and have switched attention to the bt dispute, you can see by all the messages on this board that members don’t think this is good enough, you don’t need to tell us it’s a bitter dispute, we are all losing money for it , communicate that’s all we are saying.Martin Walsh wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 17:21Hold up Dave and Andy updated members on the picket lines last Friday and Saturday.
There will be an update tomorrow, however there is no point in saying something when there is thing to report at this stage.
The CWU have at every stage updated the members and will continue to do so. This is a bitter dispute and both the company and us are playing for high stakes.
In addition it is quite right that the CWU support our members in BT on their striking day. That does not stop them from perusing our dispute.
As for your BT comments- if you worked for BT you might think differently.

Re: Reading Forum
The last update from Dave Ward was that the union would be sending a letter with their counter(?) proposals this week, but since then we've heard nothing, apart from Simon posting that another meeting has taken place. What's happened to the letter, has it been sent or is it no longer consider appropriate to send one?

Re: Reading Forum
If we haven't had an update, I just presume nothing has changed. When we get updates I want them to be real updates where something has actually happened or changed. All we can do is support our union because they are the only ones with their foot in the door fighting for us.

Where was the update? We (some of us) know where it was-that Facebook thing-the thing that EVERYBODY is not on-I'm sure Webby is touting himself for the question time job-how about more LTB's-news items-and less tub thumping for likes.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

They should be a big enough organisation to multitask, not switch to one dispute one week then another dispute next week ,mjd24 wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 19:19They cant win! Re: Reading Forum
This is the point I’ve been making, you can’t say your going to do something this day last week and then go to ground and say nothing and not expect members to be asking questions.TopperGas wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 19:24The last update from Dave Ward was that the union would be sending a letter with their counter(?) proposals this week, but since then we've heard nothing, apart from Simon posting that another meeting has taken place. Re: Reading Forum
The gist of what i get is Royal Mail want most of us to pizz off as soon as possible on more or less what we have now, new starts will be getting shafted on right from the giddy up and they won’t really have the same access to the union. So give it 5 years and the union will cease to exist. Essentially the union are fighting for their own future not ours.

Re: Reading Forum
Royal Mail and Thompson are at us every day left right & centre. High level managers visiting offices up and down the country with propaganda. We haven’t heard anything from the Union in a whole week. No wonder people are starting to get twitchy. Not acceptable.Martin Walsh wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 17:21Hold up Dave and Andy updated members on the picket lines last Friday and Saturday.

Let's see if CWU give us any airtime because, I for one, am disgusted with the lack of information and support. It's all about Royal Mail and PO

Re: Reading Forum
Why is it that some people need their hand holding all the time?
If the CWU has something important to communicate to the workers, they will.
To want the CWU to ape that moron Thompson and spout meaningless shite on a daily basis, rather than announce concrete moves in talks, is insane.

Re: Reading Forum
You only have to look at the state of this forum the last few days to see why they need to communicate more/better. People are going completely batshit crazy with theories and also seem to be lacking faith…DirtyHarry wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 06:03Why is it that some people need their hand holding all the time?
