Still losing a days pay obviously he thinks a strike is an excuse for a holiday has he never heard of a picket line.. or is it only militants that stand on picket lines.

I have nothing against anyone not going to a picket line. My opinion is the important thing is not going into work. You have a different opinion which is fine but I dont agree with anyone being pulled up for not being on a picket as long as they havent worked.

Always get the smoking crews on picket lines, home from home being near the gate for them
There's always a lad who wears shorts all year round and his own trainers, usually adidas gazelles or samba
A few quiet late 50 somethings who have been striking since the miners went out in 84
A cheery red cheeked lass who brings samosas and greggs 4 for a pound sausage rolls
And one lad full of patter who still manages to drop bags on the lightest days cos the trainee manager is scared of him

-Works through their break.
-Works their day off during this dispute.
-Works overtime during this dispute.


Most posties in my depot work through their breaks even during this dispute. They want better pay, but they are working 7 hours for free a month for this company by working through their breaks.

Well said,i wont go to the picket line for this exact reason,when i strike i withdraw labour ,work to rule an say no to all overtime,or what really is the point ,strike 1 day then they all go in and do docket and clear it,ill strike but wont stand on the line with people like that .

Yes I've done my stint on the pocket line. And yes I'm doing overtime to make up for loss of earnings. Some Posties can afford to lose two days pay but I can't.
You want me to back the union I will but I've got to think of my family. Money tight at the moment and I can't see this not being resolved in the near distant future.
Throw me this so called CWU hardship fund my way then I will reject overtime.
Besides I ain't or other Posties got to justify ourselves.
