Glad the media have finally got the correct info regarding a currant pay situation. " Staff have been handed a 2% pay rise, backdated to April, and a further 3.5% increase if they agree to changes in working practices " Taken from https://www.theguardian.com/business/2 ... ail-stake
Yeah, but it's the Guardian so they're already preaching to the converted and with the last circulation figures of 105k,
they're dwarfed by the critical articles that have been seen in the Daily Fail (circulation about 850k), Fail On Sunday (720k)
and Torygraph (300k) and Sunday Torygraph (248k).

well that doesn't sound correct either. It's a further 1.5% for changes to working practices and then an impossible to achieve 2% bonus that isn't even worth mentioning as the company understaffs us, so we won't ever receive that bonus as no productivity targets will be hit.
Having a foreign national buy Royal Mail and chop it up for parts (GLS, one more property fire sale) would be a PR nightmare for the government.
Have you seen the state of the UK? Do you think this government care about bad PR ?
If they didn't, Boris Johnson would still be prime minister. Not to sound dreamy-eyed, but most governments can see an obvious train wreck coming and try to stop it, if only out of self-interest.
Given that the government considers RM an essential service it cannot by law be owned by a foreign national whose interests might conflict with that of the UK.
Instead of the head of our monarch on our stamps we could have some east European leader.

Or yeah just like the Railways , Gas , Water , Electric etc…

They've just rubber stamped a foreign national taking a large shareholding in BT?

The idea that the U.K. government is operating independent of the World Economic Forum is really naive..
We are aware that in recent media interviews, Dave Ward, the General Secretary of the CWU has indicated that we are in "secret talks" with a private equity investment group, he believes, regarding a takeover of Royal Mail. The Company wishes to make clear that this is not true. We are involved in no such talks.
