Re: Prolonged action = changes in contracts?
If this was sent via PM to someone then I believe someone for whatever reason is trying to cause trouble. I don't know, I am just an individual that loves my job, is proud of what we do and am not happy about a lot of the companies proposals. What worries me is this is someone on our side or even someone from the CWU trying to whip up emotions then it's a f****** disgrace. This isn't some kind of game, taking action is a serious matter.

It would be foolish of someone from 'our side' doing such a thing when the aim of the post is to scare people into not strikingSurreypostie wrote: ↑24 Aug 2022, 22:02If this was sent via PM to someone then I believe someone for whatever reason is trying to cause trouble. Theres only one 'side' its come from
If the aim of the post was to stir up more hatred of ST in order for a higher percentage taking action ( as if thats needed ) then you would find a better way of doing it than threatening people's jobs which would be counterproductive

Seriously - he wouldn't be able to do it anyway. There are too many of us to replace. He would be mad to even try it.
The only way he could do it is if he decided to totally abandon letters and therefore only needed 50% of the workforce. The government would not allow this. It would be hugely detrimental to the country to suddenly have no letters being delivered. If Royal Mail abandoned letters then the government would likely create a public mail service again. This could then turn into a new rival for Simon as what's stopping the government from running not only a letters service, but also starting up a parcel service too.
Why can't Simon use his brain to work out how to make money for the company without having to significantly disrupt our terms and conditions. He's already leaving us with 2 days mail weekly which will be saving him a fortune. Soon he will have the barcoded stamps in place which should also save the company a fortune. If letters are an issue and you want us to deliver less mail, then just increase the prices and either we make more money from those increases or we spend less time delivering letters as the service becomes too expensive for businesses to use, which means we have more time for parcels.

Even if it is fake it’s clearly what he really wants.

We’re better than this bullshit.
The man has enough ridiculous stuff emanating from him to pick through without making stuff up and him ending up being the victim.

These things are easily made up.
Very easily on a laptop or phone.
Take with a pinch of salt.
