Personally I would jump at VR, as I'm sure many others would.

Infact I'd jump at the statutory minimum too, which would be roughly a quarter of what I'd get via the current VR terms.

I'm in a good position seniority wise for VR, but don't really expect either to come my way.

So given nearly everyone just looks at how it’ll affect them I can’t see people striking for a ton of time to save people who haven’t even joined yet..surely that’s the plan

When Simple Simon keeps comparing us to "Other Couriers", and the fact they deliver all week, and late into the evening I think he's missing a glaringly obvious point .......... We all joined RM because we liked the look of the job. These "Other Couriers" also joined their companies because they liked the look of that particular job.

I get the impression a lot of these guys are work hungry, many new to the UK, and motivated by the money they can make, compared to what they used to make at home. However they have little, if any, T &Cs, sick pay, pensions etc. I feel sympathy for a lot of them that are stuck on Zero Hours Contracts having to hire, and fuel their own vehicles but I certainly don't want to join them.

Simple Simon just wants to hammer square pegs into round holes. He won't be happy until he's dragged us all down to the level of "Dirty White Van Man"!
