The workplace coach role. Many postie's have been unpaid workplace coaches for months!!

Just shows how out of touch this company is

Also, many non drivers still get the privilege of finishing/getting dropped off at home
If two guys agree to that it's up to them but it's got nothing to do with company policy or allowances.

If I were forced to do it (outside maybe a one off special circumstance) by anyone including management I would just laugh... a lot.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Yes that’s probably the most unfair one. As a Royal Mail driver we have the responsibility of keeping the van maintained and the daily/weekly checks. Not to mention if we get stopped by the police for a traffic offence it will effect our own insurance policy.
you also get to take the van home and not use your own petrol
Which office does that? Also, many non drivers still get the privilege of finishing/getting dropped off at home leaving the driver to drive back to the depot dropping off all the slip lefts and keys and by the time they get home their mate has had their feet up for an hour.
Well it goes on in my office since....forever.

"• Steve is a former PHG working in a mail centre on 37 hours, and he works nights. He receives
the ex PHG allowance and the Advanced TPM. Under the proposal Steve may receive a
buyout of up to £8,650 paid over two years. His existing shift allowance wouldn’t change and
his functional supplement would be consolidated in to his salary.
• Marie has 10 years’ service working in a delivery office. She currently gets the MGV driving
allowance and RRIS, yellow pay area. Marie ‘s proposed buyout would be up to £6,425 over
two years. Her existing delivery supplement would be added to her salary.
• Farouk has worked in a delivery office full time in Milton Keynes since 2017. He receives the
orange pay area RRIS supplement. The proposed buyout means Farouk could get up to
£2,867paid over two years. He would also get the delivery supplement consolidated into his
salary."

For somebody who only receives the Delivery Supp on a pro rata basis that seems some massive allowances being presently paid out by RM?

There can't be that many people left getting the exPHG allowance, think locally just about all of them must have retired by now

Companies now want us to work Sundays as a normal working day with a normal rate of pay. In this world we definitely have our priorities mixed up , hospitals nigh on shut down at the weekend , your local doctors surgery shuts down completely on Saturday and Sunday even though demand for appointments is higher than ever but we feel its much more important to receive a parcel on a Sunday than being able to receive a doctors appointments at the weekend 🤦‍♂️ we not only need a fairer share of wealth in this world we also need to revaluate what our priorities are .

No thats true, its got nothing to do with company policy or allowances but the company like to seen as being fair and equal to all their employees

Personally, I got no problem dropping my mate off - especially if they have really helped me out

But consider that the business are now looking for Sunday "drivers" delivering Tracked items with no premium for doing it and also wish to scale letters into a Monday to Friday operation. Guess who will most likely be having the weekends off?? Who do you think might be laughing....a lot? :hmmmm

Once Scan In Scan Out is implimented in deliveries they will HAVE to return to the office with the driver.

The very fact they have not listed or fully specified any or all the allowances is a BIG RED FLAG!

Had a look at this thread again and it still is not giving enough detail on all the proposals thin end of the wedge.
