The problem with them is they don’t see us as low paid, in their world we have industry leading pay. But as we know, our pay cannot be comparable to any others as they don’t go through the physical and mental stress we regularly go through. Royal Mail delivery is a unique role, but somehow our pay is compared to supermarkets and couriers🤦
True.

'Industry leading pay' is a myth as there are no other courier companies that do what we do.

I'd happily be paid less by Royal Mail if I could drive around delivering parcels during my shift instead of delivering mail. I'd have far less aches and pains and feel less exhausted.

I'd take a 4% pay rise and just deliver parcels with terms and conditions staying the same. (this will be a pay drop relative to inflation and the minimum wage increases).

Posties should get a 10% pay rise for what they do as living in pain is not worth the pay they currently get.

He and Simon and the rest of the parasites can go f**k themselves - they do not care about us and the feeling is mutual

I do not care if a strike hurts the business or loses customers - f**k RM...you want to treat us like s**t we do the same to you.

This....absolutely, so would I, just imagine we could be the best of the best parcel delivery companies with the proper professional competent leadership, but anyway back down to reality f**k it I'm voting yes for a better pay deal.

After being in the job for years and years and years, I no longer feel valued and I really don’t care anymore. I’ve never felt so down because of this crap. I never take sick days, I never have to communicate with the dim as I just do my job and feel I work at a good speed and am one of the workers. I’m not young anymore but I’m still as fast as the young ones and I never start early. I feel I’ve taken the biggest kick in the teeth and most of us in my office feel the same. Most of our lapsing takes anything from 1 to 2 hours. This is an absolute joke. Trying to fit 7 hours of delivery into 4 and a half hours is taking its toll.

I wonder how many other jobs are flat out from the second you walk in the door to the second you walk out except for my meal break. My partner and I sometimes have so much we can’t get it all into our Peugeot van. I’m always being told the Mail is down, what a joke that is.
We have lost many good full and part time staff recently and I think others and myself won’t be far behind. This is the worst I’ve ever seen it and I have been here well in excess of 35 years plus. What ever happened to a fair days work for a fair days pay? I feel for the youngsters. There’s no future here.

I think they just mean - you are expected to walk your 10 mile long round 5 days a week like you are taking part in the Olympics. Each day is like you are going for a gold medal in a marathon race....

what for... £10 an hour after tax.

I am disappointed to report that Royal Mail haven't communicated with us who work for the company directly exactly the changes that it is that they want. We seem to be finding everything out from the CWU who are really not holding back with the information.

And it is just as well that the Union are because they are exposing Simon and his team as the cheating, low life, greedy money grabbers that they truly are.

The 2% pay increase they are offering in their letter is akin to giving half a tin of baked beans to a food bank instead of a generous bag of shopping! How much is 2% really?? The fact that staff would actually be better off dragging their duty out for a few hours and claiming overtime instead tells you everything about how p*ss poor their first initial offer is and how much they thought of us; a glorified overpaid courier company who deliver a few letters on the side.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

There is no offer, you're having 2% like it or not. It's been imposed on you.
