The forecast for the share price in the next 2 to 3 years is between £8 to £9. Royal Mail is a decent company but needs modernisation and investment, and you only get investment by people buying shares.

This has got the governments hand all over this, they (Royal Mail) are being told, no pay rises, RMT are in the same fight, bosses have no interest in any work force, paying a £400 dividend to shareholders, then pleading poverty… come on, the Tory jackboot is on the workers throats, and it ain’t lifting anytime soon!!!

Who knows if this is the case but let’s say it is, bet Royal Mail have assurances in return like a quick sneaky vote through Parliament to scrap the 6 day uso. All speculation of course but with so little information coming from Royal Mail and the union around these pay/change talks it’s all we are really left with. Fingers crossed we at least know our fate this side of Xmas.osgoody1970 wrote: ↑01 Jun 2022, 18:37This has got the governments hand all over this, they (Royal Mail) are being told, no pay rises, RMT are in the same fight, bosses have no interest in any work force, paying a £400 dividend to shareholders, then pleading poverty… come on, the Tory jackboot is on the workers throats, and it ain’t lifting anytime soon!!!![]()

Royal mail board of directors , dont give a s h I t about its work force, they pretend they do on rmtv... they only care about themselves, and only want to please shareholders because royal mail's board get brownie points by way of more money in their pocket, by keeping the elite share holders happy...

When we've paid dividends before, the stock price remained in the dumps. Even putting our pay aside, Royal Mail has so many better uses for that money that it's not funny. Investing in facilities, paying down debt, a rainy-day fund. Even buying back stock would be smarter.

Share price usually tank when dividends are stopped, not sure the last 3 options are really going to make work any better for us anyway, all buying back stock does is increase the dividend per share!
