As a reserve even choosing a rest day in advance is an absolute piss take. Despite giving plenty of notice and my reasons for requests being reasonable each time it's been terrible. From the request being ignored to being granted then being put on shift and having to ask to sort it. Last time I had to ask 3 times before getting answer and the time before 4 times. They were both granted but why do I feel like I beg just for a rest day. No wonder people call in sick.
In our office its only the arse lickers who get days in lieu of ,anyone who isn't coms pal isn't even considered therefore these people don't even bother applying for a day in lieu they just go sick but they go sick for a couple of days rather than 1 day, would have been easier for the com just to give them the day of.

Well I for one said it ( the turkey's ) voted for it now there gobbling.
How do you know that all those stung by this change to the stage process voted for the deal? Also how can you blame the deal for this when it wasn’t even mentioned in it? I definitely saw no indication of the length of stages changing for existing people affected. If you could point out where in the agreement this was stated, that would be helpful.
Are you really saying (the turkey's) didn't know what they were voting for? they don't give a monkeys about sickness, they just looked at the (great deal 10%) ball's to everything else, the union sorry (joke) just wanted this s**t deal through no matter what, the greedy people have voted (turkey's)I hope they suffer the most.
Firstly, RM already announced the change in attendance procedure before the vote was even conducted. August was announced way, way back. Secondly, you have no idea how many people being affected by this change, actually voted for the deal. Like all changes being brought in, they impact on all of us collectively. Just as I wouldn’t claim that you are a hypocrite for embracing the pay rise and lump sum, despite voting against both. It works both ways.

Re; Attendace + Other Leave

Are there similar changes regarding 'other leave' such as bereavement leave and unpaid leave for carers & etc that anyone knows about?

Hidden in the details?

Does sour 12 days or 3 absences include this or is it just sick leave that has changed?

For any info, thanks in advance.
I'd like to know this too.

I am a carer and currently on a stage 1 but it looks like I am going to need some time off and I will not be sick obviously so was wondering how this would play out?

A new law passed this year called the Carers leave Act will allow carers up one week unpaid leave a year, possibly from April 2024.

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

I’m sure all of the no voters would have researched this already, so you are probably better off asking them, however I would suggest setting up a monthly direct debit donating to your favourite charity, and then when the lump sum arrives at the end of September a one-off donation should suffice. I will not take anyone seriously on here who still bemoans the agreement yet reaps the benefit after that date. Be forewarned.

Havering.

Royal Mail also served notice last year to end Union facilities / Divisional Reps / the whole kit and caboodle in September this year but haven't carried it out.

I don't think you get it.
Most yes voters understand that no matter how much real crap kicks in it won't be as much real crap that would have kicked in with a no vote.
So us turkeys know exactly what we voted in already.

Also, I don’t want to see any of your ‘moaning faces’. That would be quite disturbing I am sure.

Likewise the No voters didn't have a clue what happen if there was a No vote.
