Something on news today about a group of posties in the Wirrel being suspended for all having their break in a pub.
No booze, eye witnesses reported tea/coffee being taken.
Any connection?

I've seen that story and no that's a different office! Won't be naming where I work for obvious reasons

we were told this weeks ago, that people were sacked for meeting in a pub. Of course never mentioned it was their break and supposedly 3 have already been reinstated, typical scaremongering. I really hate this board/company at present

How have the rules changed in regard breaks? It was the case previously that you couldn’t go off route to have one, but maybe that has changed now. Either way, there had to be more to that story.

Theres no clarity at our place. I mentioned the story to some colleagues, and whilst you get one person scoffing why meet at a pub, another person said they used to do it in order to use the loo, which is a valid case

I read about this ast week apparently it was members of the public reported them as they were angry at not getting their mail for days on end then when they got suspended the public never got any mail at all because the office was now more dutys uncovered i f***ing hate the public at times
