LTB - Agency Workers Directive Factsheet

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

Letter to Branches

No. 698/2012
Ref: LR/FH/DGN
Date: 13th September 2012

To: All Branches

Dear Colleague

Agency Workers Directive Factsheet

The Equal Opportunities Department are pleased to attach our latest factsheet which gives information on the Agency Workers Directive. This Directive has been in place since October 2011.

The CWU and in particular, Sally Bridge, have campaigned very hard for these rights and the campaign continues as there are still loopholes, which are highlighted in the factsheet.

The factsheet should come in very useful, especially for those Branches who have agency members or scope to recruit them.

Any queries in relation to this LTB should be directed to my department in the first instance.

Yours sincerely

Linda Roy
Assistant Secretary

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
