Postal Policy Forum – The Future of Royal Mail, Pay and Pensions,

Postal Executive Policy Recommendations and Arrangements

Further to LTB 104/16, Branches are reminded to register their attendees for the Policy Forum at dgspdepartment@cwu.org as soon as possible.

Branches are encouraged to register their attendance in advance of the Policy Forum by completing the Registration Form, and sending it to the email address given above. To date there remain 58 Branches still yet to register, therefore your assistance in this regard would be appreciated.

Registration will open at 12pm on Tuesday 22nd March, however, Branches that have not registered in advance are advised that there is no guarantee that the registration process on the day will be completed before the Policy Forum commences at 1pm.

Please note that Branches are asked to ensure that the individual responsible for Voting Cards collects their Branch credentials at the venue from 12pm on the day.

Registration Form for advanced registration.


Updated Policy Forum Guidelines with the order of debate changed to reflect the speaker time allocated to allow the Postal Executive time to move each of the 7 Recommendations.
Branches should note that there is a change to the Order of Business, under Recommendation 7:



Amendment 59 Composite 17 will now be taken before Amendment 56.
Branches should also note that further to LTB 149/16, issued by the General Secretary on 9th March 2016, a bucket collection will take place for Paul Maloney, Branch Chair of the Birmingham and District Branch, at the close of the Policy Forum on Wednesday 23rd March.

All money raised from the collection will go to Paul’s Rehabilitation Fund to ensure that there are sufficient monies to facilitate his return to work. Cheques should be made payable to: Birmingham District Amal Branch’ - please write on the back of the cheque ‘Paul Maloney Rehab Fund’

Finally, Branches are reminded that the Postal Policy Forum will finish at 3pm on Wednesday 23rd March and not 5pm as previously stated in LTB 152/16. Additionally you are reminded to bring the following paperwork to the Forum:

Updated Policy Forum Guidelines – attached to this LTB.


Amendments to be debated – as included in LTB 152/16.
