I think the above said we get to hear from the mediators report this Wednesday via the CWU. We will have some idea as to what will happen to us then.

I'm sure they do though 2% is a pay cut not a pay rise.

But it is.
The pension situation will be postponed while a solution is found, start times will move but not as far as we were threatened with and changes to working practices will be trialled on a larger scale than previously but not at the pace Royal Mail would like.

Although ultimately the membership get a vote it's very unlikely they'll reject an endorsement by the PEC because at the end of the day the changes in working conditions and pensions will be dressed up in language that makes it difficult for most posties to understand the full implications so they'll rely on the national negotiators to know what's best for them and the PEC to oversee that decision.

What's left to catch the eye of the OPG is the stuff they do understand, lump sums and pay rises.

If the pipeline moves back anything more than 1/2 an hour in MCs then you might well be looking at it going back by an hour or maybe more in DOs with the runs between MCs and DOs catching all the traffic

not in delivery it isn't imo , it doesn't matter what the cwu and royal mail agree to or what trials r/m want as we all know what a load of s**t they are and at the end of the day it will be down to the members to vote yes or no and I think most people wont look at the r/m golden carrot , and remember it was 4 pillars to get an agreement on and not 3 or 2 and we will sort the rest out later.

Most people will take the golden carrot as they always do as fishtank said agreements are made that are gobbledeygook to many posties.

This is what is more than likely to happen - 2 out of the 4 things semi arranged with 'ongoing' discussions about the other 2 through 2018 on the proviso there is an agreed no strike action and current vote is withdrawn, which if it is you'll all get a nice lump sum.

If anyone ever thought for a moment that this would be sorted before xmas is frankly blinded. RM will get their way. Union will buckle and fold and get to walk away with scraps citing the 'if we don't take the scraps of the deal, we'll end up like hermes/yodel(add any other couriers) name here.

Its not going to be a nice 2018 - RM have got the union like taking candy from a baby
