I agree, it's a mixed bag. I preferred their original album Since I Left You (2000). I was more pointing to the description that mentioned Ann Druyan and Carl Sagan. Just thought it might be something of interest to you.tomtallis wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 19:38Yeah they sampled Music Is The Light by Pooka. The rest is ok.
Edit That read more negatively than I meant. Should have listened to the album in order instead of skipping to track 24 and being somewhat underwhelmed by the rest. Shame really as it looks good on paper with Kurt Vile and Vashti Bunyan etc

I wouldn't be surprised, Lee Hazlewood is sampled a lot.

I'll see your Bach and raise you The 3rd movement in D minor of Vaughan Williams' 5th symphony.

Beethoven is brilliant!
Perhaps my favorite classical piece:
Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany's Ludwig van Beethoven ~ "Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92 - Second Movement (Allegretto)"] (1811-12)
Performed by the Amarillo Symphony.
