Tested possitive no pay

Post by whatshappening1 »

Tested possitive and had to isolate for just over 10 days with mild symptoms. As I have used all my sick pay I haven't been payed, anybody have any info on this. I could have worked but obviously I have done the right thing and stayed off to protect others.

You will be due some payment wether from Royal Mail or income support.
Contact HR and hear what they say and ask them to email you their decision / explanation.

Well done btw for keeping others safe.

Worse case is ssp. https://www.gov.uk/employers-sick-pay/entitlement

So you used you all your half pay?
What about sick pay at pensionable rate?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Was off for over a year all in so no half pay left either. I phoned the union who said I should and would be paid at the start of my isolation. So I left it at that then just before I was due to go back I noticed on the app that my manger had just put it through my anual leave.

If you are off with Covid related issues, either got it or isolating, you should be paid full sick pay as it is classed differently from normal sickness. We had 2 off who had no sick left and got paid, also it should not go against your attendance record.

Get in touch with your local or area rep asap.

As a rule it's not, your 2 have got lucky.
