Annual leave and self-isolation

So i've just started 1 weeks A/L today and have had to take my wife for a Covid test. Been told to self-isolate til she gets the result back either way. If the result is positive can I claim my A/L back?

Same thing except I had a positive test, can i claim my 2 weeks holiday back

I am sorry but i think the previous answers are wrong.

If you have been TOLD to isolate then it's Covid related and needs to be recorded as such,
and you claim sick pay and get your holidays back. You can't go anywhere when isolating so how is this holidays?

I had a member whose wife was in the same situation and the manager said he was on holiday so it didn't matter,
well it mattered when i took it higher and it was changed from holidays to sick.

My reply was based on what has happened in mc i work in as per usual in rm maybe other places operate differently.

As far as I'm aware the union are discussing the issue with Royal Mail but at the moment they are not crediting holidays back unless you have a positive test or symptoms.

Obviously if you have Covid19 you're sick end of story, they can't fight that but if you're simply isolating they're trying it on saying that the legal protection doesn't cover that.

And if your on a stage 2 would you still phone in sick just to save a few days leave.
