Social distancing
Hooray been told by our DOM this morning we are going back to van sharing. I’m glad Royal Mail have decided that there is no more risk. If only Boris would start listening to Royal Mail instead of those silly scientists

He said it was being discussed today. I assume between Royal Mail and our wonderful union. We are the 4th emergency service.

Social distancing
Absolute lunacy if this happens, but as a large part of our work force are not distancing anyway, and happy to spread the virus to each other, they will get some willing participants in their efforts to extend the pandemic via red van

Social distancing is the no1 way to reduce you/your family catching covid and/or having fatalities.
According to the ONS data today, occupations who have not been able to socially distance/work in confined spaces have had higher deaths eg bus drivers, cabbies, factories/processing, security guards, hairdressers.

Social distancing
That will be because these industries were not distancing/shut down early enough. Sadly these are the casualties of the original incompetence and laid back approach/herd immunity of the Government in Feb/March. Nobody of any scientific background is saying that social distancing is anything but the only current way to hold back the virus. And of those groups you mention only hairdressers have not been working right through the lockdown. The lockdown has not been hard enough by Government, distancing does work, but has to be enforced heavily. It wasn't and isn't, including in Royal Mail.nutcracker wrote:Social distancing is the no1 way to reduce you/your family catching covid and/or having fatalities.

I saw on TV that some hairdressers have been operating behind closed doors, normally where they would make themselves a cuppa. No wonder they are in the high fatality list.

Its a wonder they dont make a special compartment in the back for the walker to ride in, or maybe a roof rack. Plenty of fresh air up theremags999 wrote:at the end of the day the only people you can get close to are people you live with so they can pee off with 2 in a van
