Well hows it going.
How is/has it going/gone in your office then
1st impressions it has turned a office that was coping quite well into a total s**t show & that is before Monday comes around.

Well hows it going.
Gone OK from where I am, spent just over 3hrs doing packets only but I'm not looking forward to Monday.
Just did a count and that was 129 packets and 96 stops on a rural.
No doubt the company will be doing their own maths and making devious plans for us all.

It’s half a victory for Rico. Its planted a seed in the publics mind that they won’t get post Saturdays. Now watch the idiots run round in Your office delivering packets as quick as they can to go early on Saturdays which will give Rico the figures

Rico has tricked the union into thinking the won a victory when in reality they just raised the white flag.scoobydo79 wrote:It’s half a victory for Rico. Its planted a seed in the publics mind that they won’t get post Saturdays. Now watch the idiots run round in Your office delivering packets as quick as they can to go early on Saturdays which will give Rico the figures

You"re exactly right. When our manager left to go to our parent office, I said "right lads take your time and your breaks as they will be looking at this"
A couple went past me heading back at 9.30 and 9.45

Well hows it going.
Everyone came in did their packets and were told to any mail that came in late on the IPS. Manager said to not rush around as it’s playing into their hands. Some were back at 10.30
Slider tool. Lol.

Complete waste of time , achieved nothing in our office . Same amount of parcels as usual , no letters arrived , a few non drivers stayed in and prepped d2ds for Monday . Everyone back earlier than usual .

Well hows it going.
Well more parcels left than normal & no mail done at all.
Cant see the benefit but you would think clearly must be one somewhere down the line for somebody

Sounds like the managers are concerned that higher up will take loads of hours out of their Saturday budgets

It obviously only works with wholesale duty attendance changes which they haven't had time to do so it will be interesting to see how they intend to address that.
Do they think they can convince enough to change their patterns voluntarily?
Perhaps they have far too much faith in their managers.
Without those changes (voluntary, coerced or compulsory) there's little point in continuing with it.

Our office was about 75% staffed and we’re failing.

Well hows it going.
Easter Saturday I missioned around covering both walks. Finished late and tired but earned some money and had a good sense of achievement.
Today I fannied about stopping and starting, back and forth with little packets. Finished on time walking away from my fitting which looks like a bomb site with Friday's mail returned on one side and trays and some small packets from today scattered around, knowing more will arrive on Monday morning. Feel frustrated, demoralised and not one bit safer from CV. Thanks RM.
