In my office you can start to see the tension with staff against the management. We are a big office of around 130 staff with currently only 10-15 off but the workload we are now expected to do to compensate is starting to pile up. I normally work to time but im finding managers are now making life difficult if you leave stuff even though most of us are taking double mail and extra tracked. We also have 3 door to doors next week. I spoke to two posties that work in other offices and its the same atmosphere there. Things are going to get much worse before things get better and as more staff are self isolating over the coming weeks (unless we get this testing kit) then more staff are just going to self isolate to get out of the heat or even go off with stress.
We have been told letters will drop off soon but that wont make things any easier for us as they will make sure there will be other work and more to help clear the office.

Not sure letters will drop off if we are still allowed out. Post boxes seem to still have a decent amount of mail in them. People are probably more likely to order birthday cards off the internet and then send them as 1. They have to go to a lot of hassle to buy a card at a shop/supermarket and 2. they won't be able to go to see the person whose birthday it is so I expect card sending to go up.

There is probably a lot of letters being sent out due to people's finances going to poop as well as documentation relating to coronavirus.
