Sick Note/Certificate or Track & Trace App??

Post by jimmy76 »

So, I was 'Pinged' last Thursday/Friday night by the Track and Trace App on my phone while stuck at work on a busy night shift.....

It advised me to Isolate for 11 days which I have currently been doing.

It was a bit of a shock to see the notification but I have just been getting on with it.....it's not as great as you'd imagine!

On applying for the official certificate to present to my employer to cover my absence through the App, it has given me a note for 14 days off.

My question is, which takes precedence? The App or Official NHS note?

I can't help thinking I'd have to be a right mug to pick the lesser option and go back to work early!

If your 10th day happens to be Monday , you're back to work Tuesday.

Thanks for your replies and responses, Guys.

Tbh, I was kinda hoping you'd lean the other way on my question!

I would of just assumed a solid old fashioned paper sick certificate would of carried more weight than a new phone App that can only be viewed if I open it and show it to you.....

Maybe I'm just to dishonest or looking for the few extra days off!
