Anyone been officially been briefed that SD's are changing to by 11AM and 4PM with effect from Monday?

Changes to Special Delivery Guaranteed
From Monday 28 September we’ll be improving our timed guarantees for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am and 1pm services and will make the following changes:
• For items posted from Monday 28 September 2020 onwards, our guaranteed delivery for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9.00am the next working day will change to by 11.00am the next working day*
• Our guaranteed delivery for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1.00pm the next working day will change to by 4.00pm the next working day*.
• This includes items where a Saturday guarantee has been purchased.
Our office changed back to the normal Special Delivery Guaranteed times about a month ago and it's going to stay that way from next Monday onwards. No Special Pandemic Delivery times for our office.
Come 1pm and if that Special package isn't delivered - you're busted!

What makes your office so different?
I have no idea, deltaforce, and quite frankly I don't like that our office is different with this matter. We should also suspend the regular Special Delivery Guaranteed times just like most other offices. My guess is the mad pursuit by our managers to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and glowing reports at the expense of our posties' health.
On a side note, I don't know why the Post Office continues to sell the Special Delivery service if the actual service is temporarily suspended elsewhere around the country. Customers are paying for a privileged service but aren't receiving it.
Since Covid we've not been enforcing 1pm Specials, 9am Specials had to be delivered by 12pm (I believe) not had any.
We've had these latest changes put up on the notice board. I feel sorry for anyone still out there delivering at 1600. Mind you we've had a few still out that late recently ... BIG walks though, being done by the Day off Cover.
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)

No you wouldnt be busted as it has been changed nationally and on RM's website
Your manager cant just decide to make the rules up himself.
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Unfortunately all the managers in our office are sticking with the usual Special Delivery times heading into next week. The suspension to the Special Delivery service ended in our entire office a couple of months back.
It sucks, I know, but not every office in the country is the same. I've said it on another thread and I'll say it here, too. There is no consistency with the entire Royal Mail organization, which is especially confusing for our customers throughout this entirely awesome nation ( *cough*).
Royal Mail have directives, if you let your screws ride roughshod over you with them then....well...you let your screws ride roughshod over you. Isn't roughshod a funny word?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

This is no longer simply a pandemic driven initiative.
This is a change to the specification of the product.
No-one will get busted if they deliver a Special Delivery at 2pm because no manager will know what time it was delivered.
No report will flag it up as a failure..
And that is in all offices in all parts of the country.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

That's not true, clashcityrocker. Specials not delivered by their guaranteed time come up as a missed deadline failure. It's happened on a couple of occasions with our posties this year.
As for September 28th's change, nothing new in our office today. Same old same old.
