That will close cinemas, discos etc as well as form queues outside supermarkets. Most sport is already cancelled already. Public transport such as the tube and rail will be impacted.
What if your DO has over 100 staff? :hmmmm
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

It could potentially also close the largest MCs and DOs as there must be a few that have 100+ staff on their late and/or night shifts

Just made a rough estimate and possibly we might have to close if gatherings of more than 100 are banned, unless the USO gets suspended with possibly letters and flats only being processed during the day

I'd assume this gatherings of 100 people excludes work.

We aren't rammed in next to each other at the depot like at a cinema, festival, club, theatre etc.

The only times we are piled together is in group meetings so the managers should make sure meetings are in smaller groups or make us stand apart.

Do you not do IPS then? When they are behind and everyone is called up you can have 4 to a frame, 10 round the DBF.

It'd close down almost every MC - except for Early turn. Exceptions might be little ones like PL, TR etc. Most Post Towns have a DO with well over 100 in too. The RDCs probably have over 100 too round the clock.

Calling the coronavirus (or COVID-19) the "Chinese virus" is outright stupid. For the leader of the free world- a.k.a. Donald Turd - to be using it shows his usual xenophobia and racist underpinnings. He's provoking a social stigma with this borderline ethnic slur, and it can lead to dangerous consequences (violent threats against the Asian community).

Trump's ardent defenders cite the Spanish flu because "that pandemic started in Spain, so it was named after the location it began." In fact the Spanish flu didn't actually start in Spain. It was given its name because Spain - a neutral country during the Great War (1914-1918) - did not have state media control, and therefore was able to report the rising influenza pandemic that other countries couldn't do.

Racist Attacks Against Asians Continue to Rise as the Coronavirus Threat Grows
Countries worldwide are reporting an uptick in assaults against citizens of Asian descent
https://people.com/health/coronavirus-r ... st-asians/

So to those out there who start renaming the coronavirus as the "Chinese virus" (I had one customer receiving a packet a few days ago who said it), I have this to tell you:

Italy has now overtaken China with the total number of deaths from COVID-19. World total approaching 10,000 deaths.

Un sticking this post now, carry on as normal with it obviously.

We also have some good stickies that are very informative,
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
