You work in Royal Mail. How are you following all the guidelines?
Sinba (and Aiden) you do realise that you can hold ctrl scroll/highlight the previous posts (when you're quoting them) and then backspace? It deletes all the ones you're not really quoting... and makes your posts a lot easier to follow. :thumbup

In answer to your question: The Government has only told people to stay at home if they're not key workers..... We've all been designated key workers. Whether you agree with that is another discussion. When I'm at work I follow all the guidelines. I consider myself as safe as anyone that has to use a supermarket for shopping. My DO may be "Safer" than some others, it's just some of the Staff that are "Dangerous"! :cuppa
Apologies dorset just not very good at all these things you mentioned find it much easier to just quote whole post :Very Happy

Not a problem Guys it just makes it very hard to follow your conversation. TBH I didn't know if you were using a mobile, as I haven't got a clue what you can do with them .... I hate the Bloody Things. :arrrghhh

If you just want to make a quick reply use the POSTREPLY button under the other persons post ... you don't even have to use the QUOTE option. :cuppa

Urm how do you think they're working in hospital? That's right, next to each other. So what would be the point of spreading out outside?
Excuse me,why should the NHS be any different to the rest of us who are social distancing. When those nurses take off their gowns, face masks and gloves shouldn't they be taking extra precautions not to infect other doctors and nurses, especially considering when many of them are already probably infected given that they are directly coming into contact with covid19. FFS that is how the virus is being spread :arrrghhh

I saw similiar scenes on the TV. I assumed as they worked as a closely knit team, social distancing was impossible. I think we have to give the NHS enough credit that they know what they're doing? I'm sure they've got much stricter rules on what they can, and can't do. I personally wouldn't want to do that job IF you paid me a Bloody Fortune .... let alone on the shite wages most NHS Staff get. :thumbdown

I only hope when this is over they get decent monetary recognition for it, stuff all the clapping, Politicians and Celebrities spouting meaningless platitudes and Rainbow Pictures saying, "Well Done the NHS ... You're The Best"..... Give them a PROPER Reward FFS! They Deserve it, if anybody does. :cuppa

Are Royal Mail employees able to be tested for Covid-19?

The UK Government has extended testing for coronavirus to essential workers in England and Northern Ireland which includes Royal Mail employees and their families who are self-isolating with symptoms.

A full testing questions and answers document is available

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

But only with symptoms, keyworker or not. It just means in times of limited supply keyworkers with symptoms get priority.
