You know I'm not knocking the NHS or anything and I think they all do a fantastic job. But I saw a hospital on the news tonight with all the doctors and nurses stood outside clapping and yet they were all stood next to each other!!
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

They are working with together all shift, it's like expecting a family who live together to social distance from each other once they leave the houseaiden01 wrote:Seen that myself very strangepostslippete wrote:You know I'm not knocking the NHS or anything and I think they all do a fantastic job. People need money to eat too. Not an option for some. This is going to be an ongoing issue, so staying at home, to wait it out, isn't going to happen. Unless you can afford to live on zero income of course.Acca Dacca wrote:You can actually take unpaid leave if you dont feel safesindba wrote:Can't just refuse to work can you? Even now. Urm how do you think they're working in hospital? That's right, next to each other. So what would be the point of spreading out outside?postslippete wrote:You know I'm not knocking the NHS or anything and I think they all do a fantastic job. I just tried using the online system, and then had to make a phonecall - we are not classed as key workers apparently, so I won't be getting a kit.
Screw it, I quit.

We only get tested IF we are showing symptoms or a member of our household is. Think that is why website has been closed as too many people registering without symptoms which would be a waste of resources as it will obviously show negative unless someone is asymptomatic

Sinba (and Aiden) you do realise that you can hold ctrl scroll/highlight the previous posts (when you're quoting them) and then backspace? It deletes all the ones you're not really quoting... and makes your posts a lot easier to follow.sindba wrote:
You work in Royal Mail. How are you following all the guidelines?
In answer to your question: The Government has only told people to stay at home if they're not key workers..... We've all been designated key workers. Whether you agree with that is another discussion. When I'm at work I follow all the guidelines. I consider myself as safe as anyone that has to use a supermarket for shopping. My DO may be "Safer" than some others, it's just some of the Staff that are "Dangerous"!
