Double win for RM - loads of letters to deliver and it'll help to clear next weeks D2D's......

The CWU volunteered us as the 4th emergency service to get us some good PR and get the public supporting us.

I think if Dave and Terry did a month in the NHS on a Coronavirus ward it would be good for PR too.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

As we are the only ones who deliver letters , I don't see what we've actually won.

Well if you can find the post that, for some reason is the CWUs big selling point, RM winning the contract?

Don't want to stoke the fire but, behave yourselves...
I mean one of the things that we have been getting a lot of criticism and some of it I think probably, well most of it probably, unfair is members have been tagging the union and the company together in its response to this crisis. Obviously, you know at the end of the day, Royal Mail are the employer.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I normally staunchly defend the union but think they have truly been taking for a ride this time by RM & made fools of. Think they have lost the members for any future battles ahead & RM sense this & will move in for the kill.

It's time for the CWU to stop the pals act with Royal Mail.

The union are aware of the bullying and harrasment within this company and with tensions rising everyday it's getting worse.
We have serval times raised our concerns over the two metre social distance rule and in the end it just becomes a heated argument.
When we get our daily huddle propaganda it usually ends up with a few folk letting off some steam.
Most staff are alternating between walks each day so every day are faced with two days worth of mail, parcels and d2d's. When we inform them that we want to finish on our time that ends up another argument.

The staff are worried about the virus. The management are worried about failing walks/tracked. It seems like the union are only interested in how they will be perceived after this pandemic so we have public support
for when we go on strike for the ongoing dispute.

Don't think we will be on strike either the union will have lost the workforce or the company will be screwed.almost past caring everyday in this job is a hassle.

all i have seen is words from the CWU. They need to demand safe working immediately or everyone stops until safe working is possible in every office in the country.

my rep has tried but he can only do so much.

our union is their to protect us but they have allowed RM to drag their heels or accept their excuses. they say that if you don't feel safe then don't work, that's easier said than done. it needs to be a united front led by the very top of the CWU to demand the immediate safety of all RM employees in every single office in the country or work will cease to continue until it is.

the employer should be ashamed of themselves for putting its workers and their families lives at risk.

we need more from the CWU immediately.

Probably the most dangerous advice the union has given to its members in all the time I've been a union member.

I agree.
But it's all hot air as they won't back up anybody who takes that option anyway.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.
