Oh yeah and this Rico bloke. He was brought in to save money, make cuts and save RM. I'm sure he's very good at that but now he's been superseded by events.
He is no longer relevant. No longer fit for purpose. Just go, sit in ya mansion and enjoy your millions.
What we need now is true leadership from someone with compassion.

By the time royal mail act IF THEY EVER DO , it will be too late most of our colleagues would have been infected with the working practices we have to endure at the moment. Its not good enough and i can see it coming down to refusing to go into work if they dont sort out more distancing and a cleaner environment with the right tools for us to clean and disinfect ourselves[/quote]
this is where the union leaders need to act now, not post letters and videos to them and wait for days for them to realise they aren't bothered.
the odd rebel will just be tagged as a trouble causer, my solution based on delivery, as i don't know the other parts of the procedures,
seeing this disease is gathering momentum it will most certainly still get a lot worse and i'm pretty sure the decent public wouldn't be against a slow & very restricted service,
i.e zero advertising material, we can certainly differentiate between junk and important looking mail, and even staff rotation for single duty vans, non drivers given the closest streets to their d/o or doing sorting/prepping very early if they can get in,
even if they only worked us 5 or 6 hours, i'm pretty sure 50% of the selected mail going out more safely than 75% going as we are and dropping every day with people going off sick putting those at work under more pressure
RM quickly need to forget about profits right now, nearly every profit chasing industry in the UK will be suffering but they seem to think they're exempt from this

The CWU podcast needs listening to. Some people should cut Dave and Terry some slack here. They are on our side.

Agreed. We also need to take it on ourselves if need be to stick to social distancing guidelines eg refuse to do IPS unless a safe environment is created for you.RTP wrote:The CWU podcast needs listening to. Some people should cut Dave and Terry some slack here. They are on our side.

Good point, have listened to it. TBH it shouldn't of been down to the Union to go to RM to deal with this. RM should of had a plan in place and not carry on regardless.yellowbelly wrote:Listening to the podcast D & T reckon that RM didn't undertake the meeting because they were/are working on the issues now, are probablyStormproof wrote:So the union put off announcing this for nearly 7 hours?Acca Dacca wrote:Update on CWU Facebook page - podcast with Terry and Dave

Stuff RM. Stuff the CWU. I'm going in to deliver the NHS letters ONLY tomorrow then I'm going home and staying there. If they want to sack me - GO RIGHT AHEAD. I'd rather have no job than be dead
