I've been astounded by the volume of parcels that's came through our DO. There was a bit of a decrease for a while over summer, when people seemed to forget Covid existed. But since autumn, we're back on lockdown levels of parcels, but letters are back to pre-covid levels, and the majority of people are back at work. Our DO is reaching breaking point.

Online shopping has increased dramatically, and since people aren't going on holidays, or spending their money on entertainment, nights out, etc. The level of "consumerism" is beyond believe. Going by some of my customers, I'm more surprised they haven't run out of things to buy, than run out of money to spend.

With the size of some of those parcels coming in I would probably need a HGV.

Maybe you should payback the £200 they got for you. What else could they have done? you clearly don’t want to follow their advice.
£200??! Is that what you got? Because I certainly didn't. It was pro rata and taxed. I took £80. Excellent and authoritative negotiating there, cwu .

Also , as you're talking about instructions, what would those be ? They've been silent on everything.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Car-sharing has been a factor in the spread of Covid-19 during an outbreak in the Western Isles, the local health board has said.

"NHS Western Isles said through contact-tracing it had become aware of people in different households car-sharing.

It said the virus could spread "quickly and easily" in cars, even if people wore face coverings."

But, but, but. Dr Shaun has done his research!

With many offices rejecting it, what's their next plan?
