Lets be clear here with the direction of speak. What this is really saying is that "we can't make a profit because our labour costs are too high, you're all earning too much and you should all be on minimum wage".
The attack of on our pay is now building momentum.

When everyone else in the race is cheating, it doesn't pay to play honestly. So long as our competitors in the parcel delivery market are making megabucks off dubious working conditions we can expect that sword to constantly dangle over us for the forseeable future.

I feel sorry for the Hermes guy I see on my walk. Has to successfully deliver come what may, and if someone complains he'll get thrown to the wolves. All the liability, none of the profit. There but for hard-fought rights go we.
