I'm sure almost all those that clap are in favour of the nurses, carers etc getting better pay, conditions.
They're just showing their appreciation for what these people are doing on a daily basis.
Rm offices that are operating at 8pm on Thursdays are also clapping.
I take it if you were in one of those offices at that time you wouldn't be taking part then. Your choice of course.

When all this is over and 7000 trainee and junior doctors are protesting outside Parliament Square again because they are having their wage cut by 30%, forced to work longer hours for no extra pay I hope we’ll all rise as a nation and back them.TheStrangler wrote:I'm sure almost all those that clap are in favour of the nurses, carers etc getting better pay, conditions.

As they again block the road I hope London cabbies won’t be beeping at them to move, people on buses won’t be whinging on social media because the road closures are making them late for work.
I hope when we at RM go on strike again to protest against our conditions being challenged and eroded the public will back us, not call us lazy, say they prefer amazon anyway and say if we don’t want to do the job someone else gladly will.
And then the acid test - when the election comes around again, I’m sure we’ll all vote for a party who promises to fund the NHS and nationalise Royal Mail. Even if that party (Labour) doesn’t go through with it we’d be mad to vote otherwise.
Didn’t quite get your point about being in the office at 8pm.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.
