Did you expect anything different, the letter the CWU showed was not worth the paper its written on. Nothing has been protected at all, no legally binding contracts just Rico's word that it will only be for 6 weeks. Are our union really that gullible?hans solo wrote:mail centres

Total f***ing balls up. More tracked parcels than the heaviest day of Xmas pressure. Some walks only took out tracked and specials and left EVERYTHING ELSE in. Office is awash with packets and Monday is going to be another utter nightmare.

thats the day done, until monday DOM made us sort every packet, so the primary is now clear for monday. not sure if all packets cleared out for delivery though, so we prepped mondays pizza hut DTD in to the frame and a small of manualmail roll on monday...............
and agree im a bit of a sceptic but between the lines , you can see the scope and the authourity to extend the initial 6 week period.

We didnt have any letters, just prepped All D2Ds for next week into the frame for walks that had them (not many) And took all the packets, tracked RDs specials that we had for our own delivery, a HCT in my case. One fella was paid OT to take out the packets for 2 HCT walks, so the manager could judge how much can be done. So fair enough i suppose. Most of the HCT walks finished over an hour early, but its hard to judge anything really, though the fact packets are immense at the moment and everyone is in (so no 739 cards) may cancel each other out. More D2D for following weeks is doubtful, given the crisis, but prepping will take a hell of a lot longer if there are loads. So the easier Saturday was most welcome. Monday will be busy for sure, but if im honest i dont mind that so much as i often book OT on my delivery on Monday anyway.hans solo wrote:mail centres

Better not be in my MC postcode area as Managers Casuals and Cronies were in Saturday Night to clear backlog of packets and Sunday staff to clear letters and Specials for the Delivery Offices on Sunday Night/Monday Morning. Then wait until next week when Monday is a Bank Holiday dread what amount of work there will be on the Tuesday for Wednesdays DeliverySir Henry wrote:Total f***ing balls up.
