Does shielding 90 year old relative in household come under furlough do you think? Gov says all over 70’s should self isolate for 12 weeks. Have been on special leave unpaid for 4 weeks now.

100% sure that you need NHS letter at the moment to be furloughed as the application form asks for it specifically.Mrjohn wrote:Does shielding 90 year old relative in household come under furlough do you think? If you’re living with someone who is on the vulnerable list (NHS letter) you need to be on special leave with no pay to qualify for furlough as I’ve just found out. Surely RM has made a huge mistake, why weren’t we told this before being encouraged to apply?

Just had an email from RM. They admitted they made a mistake on application forms that went out this morning. You can now apply if on special leave C, annual leave or in work.Herbzzz wrote:If you’re living with someone who is on the vulnerable list (NHS letter) you need to be on special leave with no pay to qualify for furlough as I’ve just found out.
