In my office, the only van sharing is done by couples who already live together

And that too is expressly forbidden.
One person one van. No exceptions.

Why should that be forbidden? It makes no sense to forbid it.

The answer we got from senior management was public perception and office dynamics.

It's not good for office moral if the only pair in the office who aren't impacted by the changes to procedure happen to be sleeping together.

In my humble opinion couples shouldn't be working together anyway.

Public perception? F*** me. So it's ok to risk our lives behind closed doors but not in public?

If pictures or videos of any office, any morning, were leaked, they would be all over the news.
