Get your Unit Rep to look into it..... Although you probably haven't got one..... in which case get in touch with your Area Delivery Rep. There's a 1000 different delivery offices in this Business and no two are alike. However this sounds like Mangement BS to me. :hmmmm

Several weeks ago this point (Holidays& Days Off) was raised with our DOM. He said he's been told from "Above" that OPGs were not to cancel their booked Holidays (even if they wanted to help out during Staff shortages) and nobody would be asked to work their Days Off (despite several individuals in my DO have been doing this for years!)

He gave the reason that when this all blows over RM do not want Thousands of Posties, who have worked through it (and given up their holidays) suddenly all asking to take their Owed holidays. :hmmmm Perhaps THIS is Management BS but I think the Botom Line should be whether or not YOU are Happy with getting your holidays re-scheduled Cluaran. :cuppa
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)

Your employer can allocate your leave as they see fit. If RM wanted, they could reasonably request everyone take some leave during this period. As it is they just seem to be asking people with leave assigned/booked to take it when its due. It might be annoying but it's not unlawful and neither is it unreasonable.

"Employers can:

tell their staff to take leave, for example bank holidays or Christmas
restrict when leave can be taken, for example at certain busy periods
There may be rules about this in the employment contract or it may be what normally happens in the workplace. The notice period for this is at least twice as long as the leave they want their staff to take."
