Don't forget to arrange the self-isolation note, that's just as important.

I phoned the office on Monday because my gf who I live with woke up with a bad cough and a bit of a cold. They told me to self isolate for 14 days. I have been there a few weeks under a year now. Is it true I’ll still get paid? And will it be for the full 2 weeks?

DON'T record a conversation without the other party's consent ...
Do, however, make a record of the conversation (ie, your own notes).

Mr Maden still hasn't come out of the woodwork, my email to info@cwu.org has still not been answered, lost in space in 8k.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I had a similar thing too. My partner came down with a cough and temp. I was told i would be unpaid as its looking after a dependent. After around a week, and her condition grew worse, i self isolated, gaining a note for 14 days from nhs online.

However I am back in work after being told that its been 14 days since her first symptoms and i must return to work (8 days into my 14 days). So back at work, she still has symptoms (is getting better now though!). Questioning this I've been told by my DOM to remember my trial review is being done by him. - Felt quite threatening.

I enjoy being a postie, but I feel I've been been bullied since my 1st month, being put on long term loan after 3 weeks (xmas rush ended I guess they didn't need me), and they have told I've to report to my new office from now on, and i don't own a car. they wont diesel train me until I've been in the business longer, and public transport wont get me to my office for my starting time. I'm feeling forced out.

I did get paid for my 8 days isolation though! :nana
