Sent to another office
Your start and finish times are at your home office, so if sent elsewhere use their vans and make sure you leave enough travel time to get back and sign out on time at your home office.

As is always the case with poor management, anyone who shows competency or complies with a reasonable request without throwing a tantrum is quickly burdened with carrying the dead weight of the office. Then the lynchpin employee has to go into self-isolation and the upside-down house of cards collapses.HTPostman wrote:It’s petty but it’s one way of ensuring you don’t get picked to go there again

DALEDALE, check with your managers if you really need to start and return to your own office. You might find you don't need to do this and instead go straight to the other office and return straight home, as long as you have a head's up the day before or an early morning text.Postie45 wrote:Your start and finish times are at your home office, so if sent elsewhere use their vans and make sure you leave enough travel time to get back and sign out on time at your home office.
We have quite a few posties in our office who've traveled to other offices to cover and advised that they don't need to start in the regular office unless they're taking an RM van. Those that drive their own car (and claim back on fuel expenses) just drive straight to the other office after receiving plenty of notice. And the DLMs mention that there's no need to return to the regular office; just go straight home. Sign-ins and any overtime are sorted between the managers of the two offices.
