Agreed! Besides I’m not sure how any extra pay would negate the risks anyhow.Ian C wrote:

Tesco have just announced they are paying staff a 10% bonus on their earnings backdated from 9th march until 1st may as a thank you for all the hard work and being on the frontline

It's no wonder the bankers, the CEO's the wealthy Establishment, the political elite are literally laughing their c**ks off when we've got people with this kind of attitude.

I'm on the side of the critical thinkers also. IF i was a money driven person where consumption was my happiness in life i would totally be content with knowing i have a job. But i'm not. All i expect is a respect in my job, not high wages, not loads of holidays, just respect. And yes, i believe RM give me zero respect. I have zero interest in going to pubs, clubs, food establishments, fast food, shops, etc etc. So right now, everything seems normal to me. Again, i echo the other thoughts of, capitalism has failed the working man. People up the top are laughing at us trying to take pride in our work, with zero consequences of their reckless actions. Pitting one another against each other. And the people below us are still considered our responsibility.
Royal Mail will claim the Corona Virus hit their profits significantly, but in reality the people making the effort and who weren't ill carried the company through, while the lazy took advantage of the free 2 week Corona holiday being offered, (yes not everyone is blagging it i know).
Workers who worked the entire time should be paid additional money, as is the other frontline staff in Tesco's etc.
I heard on the radio some pro footballers or whatever they're called are confirmed sick. Nice to see the rich are getting those CV tests, and the NHS still aren't.

That's a start, but only a pittance compared to what they deserve for their efforts tbh.Ali831 wrote:Tesco have just announced they are paying staff a 10% bonus on their earnings backdated from 9th march until 1st may as a thank you for all the hard work and being on the frontline
They should have their salaries matched to the 2500 quid a month, that people are going to be making to sit at home and watch Netflix.

Seriously, my daughter is a teacher and I can assure you she probably puts in a hell of a lot more hours than you. Get your facts right before spouting utter tosh!Dingo99 wrote:Shitte innit? Don't get me started on the lazy, basta** teachers. 16 weeks a year they get off I think (yes I know it is not all the time strictly 9-5 but COME ON!) and now even longer most of them. All I can say is if no-one is around at the primary school I deliver too, then they better get a keepsake or kill-offs galore!wallop wrote:So lose your job and the Government will pay you up to £2500 a month to sit indoors whereas we have to run the virus gauntlet so people can get all the crap they are busy ordering online whilst getting paid to sit indoors.
As for more time off she will be at work all day looking after the key workers children whilst trying to educate those stuck at home through e-learning!

This is embarrassingly ignorant. Or wilful trolling.Dingo99 wrote:Shitte innit? And there are people who have to work alongside a self pitying prat like you. Poor buggers.

Pretty sure RM have said everyone is getting the two weeks pay whether or not they take it as time off or just an extra payment. Or is that not true?WASD wrote:Yep.wacko74 wrote:deltaforce wrote:Agreed! Besides I’m not sure how any extra pay would negate the risks anyhow.Ian C wrote:
