Been self isolating with symptoms my partner had symptoms too. Started to feel better 10 days what a relief . Two days same again ,chest sore /tight again bit breathless , sore throat( not the worst) , really fatiqued again . You get worried as theres no testing .

I'm still concerned that RM aren't addressing the fact that collections are a big risk. Mail from post boxes can and will be contaminated. The virus may have died off by the time it has passed through the machines and reached delivery, however for those emptying boxes, and tipping back at the depot, this is a serious risk.

Also van cleaning. It is insane that we aren't cleaning vans after each shift to eliminate cross contamination from mail and each other. The virus can live on plastic for several days. Relying on individuals cleaning hotspots when they get in is placing too much trust in people doing it correctly (also there sometimes isn't enough time). This is demonstrated by the amount of used gloves and wipes already being found in some vans.

As of today, 7,978 dead in the United Kingdom now. At this furious rate, and with the peak expected in the next two weeks, we'll hit 15,000 before month's end. This is why I get angry on my walk when I see ignorant fools wandering the streets with no genuine reason.

I just had a quick look at the UK statistics on Worldometer and the UK is still recording a high level of deaths per day. Once again it's very disappointing, despite England's Chief Medical Officer, Chris Whitty, saying that the number of daily deaths "has flattened." This should be taken with a grain of salt. For one thing, the deaths aren't even recorded correctly in this country. Secondly, citizens in the UK are not practicing proper protection in public if they need to go outdoors (which seems to be more of a frequent occurrence than necessary).

The number of deaths in the UK today: 763. Compare that with Germany which has a higher population. Today's death toll there was only 125. And Spain with 437. The number of COVID-19 tests conducted in this country is still pathetically low. According to the UK government, the total UK deaths now at 18,100. (Not 17,000 has some reports are stating over the last couple of hours.)

But according to the Financial Times, The Economist, The New York Times, and the Office for National Statistics, the number is more like 44,000. This is because it includes the number of coronavirus deaths outside hospitals. The figure quoted by Dominic Raab and by the media is from Public Health England.

The United Kingdom is now third in the world for COVID-19 recorded deaths following the United States and Italy. These are overall recorded deaths now: care homes and other locations besides hospitals. The UK has now overtaken France and Spain, and with a stupidly high count of 674 deaths today, it won't be long before we surpass Italy and become the world's second worst.
