I currently have 3 friends suffering from long covid almost a year after contracting the virus. The first was a competitive rower, used to row for at least an hour a day. Now can't even manage a minute on the rowing machine. The second a keen cyclist doing 100+ miles regularly, now can do about 20 miles but the next 3 days or so he will be fatigued and unable to do anything physical. The third can't even manage a walk round the block and has serious brain fog.
No way am I sharing a van and risking long covid. I have taken this virus very seriously from the get go unlike most. If I have to do lates so be it.

Re: Your choice
If you both have been vaccinated then surely the risk is tiny, plus people go on buses and taxis and train, it’s time we moved on or else we will never get back to normal, this virus is here to stay unfortunately and we have to live with it

Re: Your choice
Care home workers and other workers coming in will need to be vaccinated to enter, unless exempt.
(From bbc)
Those coming into care homes to do other work, for example healthcare workers, tradespeople, hairdressers and beauticians, and CQC inspectors will also have to follow the new regulations, unless they have a medical exemption.
Does this include us? I mean, most the time I just knock on the reception door and leave it outside but some assisted living residential had letterboxes for each door inside the building.

Re: Your choice
Assisted living are not care homes.
To my knowledge nothing with individual letterboxes inside is classed as a care home.
