Suggestion to mods

Post by warlord »

Well it's that time of year when we are all much to busy focusing on the shift ahead.
I do not know how this will be recieved but here goes....
The proposal is this: Has your M.L.O., D.O. etc had the misfortune of a death of a colleague this year?
What would be your opinion on creating some space in this fine community of ours to remember them.
Yes.... a memorial page. A tribute to the people we have worked alongside and admired. Those we shared a laugh with and those long gone who retired due to ill health or other circumstances.
I'll leave this for the mods to ponder but as contributors yourselves what do you think?
Feedback, please!

It is a first class suggestion and one that I feel those who run this excellent site should give due consideration to.

We do have them in the News items such as one ex-postie who died on a window cleaning round and the young postie who died at home just before the strike ballot. At the moment anyone who does hear of ex-posties passing away or has a news item can alert me with as much details as possible and I will write a post in the News thread.

Otherwise I will leave it up to POSTMAN to see if he wants a "In Memoriam" thread/section.
