Stop asking this!

POSTMAN wrote:Quick announcement, please first see where your topic should go.
Then check to see if the topic is already posted.
Due to the mass influx of users we will now be either deleting or locking threads where duplicate topics have been posted, sometimes up to 3-4 times.
And we will not have the time to point the thread to the original one.
The same will apply for topics that are not meant to be here, they will just be moved to the appropriate Forum.

Thanks.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

There are too many people on the board and it is making it difficult to wade through all the posts some of which are irrelevant,so I can understand why the mods are doing this.

agree, the forum has grown under high traffic and done its best to adjust to the growing posters, one thing i would suggest is media only section, where people can post articles in the media and the original post is locked, the info is then there for all to read and if anyone wants to debate it they can link back, it keeps the news section tight and still lets members who want to debate issues the chance to

but hold my hands up, this forum has been guided by a better person than me and full respect for all time given to making it what it is today, thank you

Yeah well done mods!

Also if you wanna find out where your thread has been moved to, just click on your name anywhere it appears on the forums then click on the "view all posts" option. Then pick the post/thread that has been moved and it will take you to it.

Another well known postie chatroom got so far up my nose with their smug mods i haven't logged in to them since. This ones OK so far i reckon they should just pull iffy posts and leave it at that instead of trying to justify why, they have to pull anything with a whiff of libel to protect themselves and the posters or personal abuse that goes too far thats common sense. Irrelevent posts are a bit of a grey area.

As some of you have mentioned the traffic has gone up big time so there are always posters that think they are the 1st to post a news article.
Today the same news article was posted 3 times, which is silly and no good for the board.
All we're asking people to do is perhaps take a bit more care.

This Forum is 'NEWS' Forum for news articles, but we have now relaxed that a bit as for instance an office or city walking out
and posted by one of you lot and it's not a 'news' article,we're letting go.
At the end of the day it's NEWS.

But there are some run of the mill posts that are being posted which have no relevance to the Forum.
You wouldn't talk about football in a rugby forum would you!

So why we've relaxed it a bit,we don't want it to get silly.

The senior members on here will tell you how relaxed we are on here for free speech and tollerance.
We're nowhere like over the road.
