Post office van seen in Freetown Sierra Leone

Post by Honormic »

I've seen what looks like a Post Office van in Freetown still with British plates on, BV51HGG. It looked a little dodgy if I'm to be honest. It was attempting to get on the ferry from Lungi across the river to Freetown. The first attempt ripped off the exhaust and the second pierced the fuel tank. I was looking for a contact you might be interested as I've assumed that it could have been stolen. I have a few photos of it and will happliy send them to anyone who might be interested.

The plates don't seem right as webuyanycar.com can't find anything.
You can post the pics if you want/know how or email them to me...

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It could only have been in the country for a short time as it was in good condition, well it was before the exhaust went. Every other vehicle out there was falling apart.

I thought it was only the old bicycles being sent to Africa  Maybe a van got mixed in with them by mistake.

They didn't come off the production line in good condition,it must have had a lot of work done on it
The paint job isn't original either, after 6 months in Scottish "sunlight" the original paint turns a lovely pink colour.
In West Africa i would give it 3 days...the paint's probably still wet.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
