Is there anymore strikes for next week?

Post by Heronjovial »

Hi all,
Just a quick question - is there anymore strikes planned for next week for London or we just have to wait until the national strike.
Regards,

Its too early to tell if there will be any strikes next week but I am guessing there will be. Dingo usually posts details about them.

There is an attempt though to get the offices taking IA at the moment to go out en masse on 29 September.

All London offices apart from the Mount Plesant , EC deliveries and LAMU are out this weds making it 12 days of strikes. The Mount , EC Deliveries and Lamu are out on Saturday and Monday , Nine Elms are out tuesday and the rest of London are out on next weds.

We have also agreed a day in the week of the Labour party conference week where we are hopeful that the national union calls everyone with a live ballot on strike hopefully the same day as the Royal Mail motion is heard.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Management have cancelled the Sunday OT for our Sunday Duty holders tomorrow.
They have been told they can go to Nine Elms instead and will be sent out on deliveries
in Wimbledon. West Wimbledon, Putney and Fulham, to clear backlogs.
The CWU Branch Committee have advised members not to go as Nine Elms colleagues
have not been offered OT.
I can't see many, except the terminally desperate, taking up this 'offer'.

Only two people went to Nine Elms on Sunday, and one of them took one look inside and walked straight out again. :Very Happy
