It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

My office is on the structured revision list with a deployment date in September.

My office is on this list of doom. It says something about those in phase 1 and 2 will be able to introduce dedicated parcel duties, does this mean those not in phase 1 and 2 won’t be getting dedicated parcel duties. Or does it just mean they will get them further down the line?

You will get the opportunity to introduce dedicated parcel duties but the formula and guidelines for this will come out of the first phase. As if call rate has reduced on the core deliveries from letter decline and your removing potentially a further 15% of parcels from the core delivery.

I'd be wary of parcel only duties growing arm and legs and loops and new housing dev and post boxes and PO collections.....

One last question if I may, does a structural revision pretty much guarantee a full office re-pick of duties? Thanks in advance

A resign is triggered by the level of major change involved not specifically the type of revision but from experience it's highly unlikely you could have a structured revision without a subsequent resign of duties. Almost impossible.

Are these go live dates so the planning starts 12 weeks prior? As I heard they did them within a month
