That's a poor turnout.
Technically more people didn't vote for the agreement than did.

Woody is it

The 4 Pillars ballot results was 55% turn out and a 90% yes vote.

This ballot has been conducted against the backdrop of a global pandemic so to get 52% turn out is not a reasonable turnout and consistent with previous agreements

Seems a very low turn out and a very low percentage of no votes considering the reported unhappiness within deliveries.
I suppose money talks.

What has the backdrop of a global pandemic got to do with it?
A 52% turnout is piss poor.
If it is in line with other piss poor turnouts that doesn't alter the fact it is still a piss poor turnout.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

as I put on a different post

48% not voted ?
we all work in a Royal Mail Building ,so have access to a post box .
some may be of sick ,but still get a delivery ,so could hand it to them or this time vote on line

we should be in this day and age be returning 100% of votes ,either YES / NO or if people don't care an invalid vote.
what will the UNION do about this ?? probable nothing

may be TRUMP could look in to the missing votes

Yes.
The ability to vote online without moving your arse off the sofa should have improved turnout considerably.

That was supposed to be the main driver behind it, the fact that the turnout has actually dropped since 2018 should send alarm bells through the union.

The pandemic is irrelevant, ask Biden.

I wonder what the percentage was for online voting???
Could something have gone wrong with online voting?
Seems very strange that with the introduction of a more convenient method turnout dropped.

Oh dear nothing changes, massive amount not even bothered to vote but will probably go in to work tomorrow and moan to all and sundry that the jobs doomed and they've been sold down the river

Listened to the CWU video for 3 minutes and turned it off the pair of them are deluded. 52% turnout "outstanding" what planet are these people on :arrrghhh

Good luck guys / gals you're going to need it irrespective of what the union say, RM and their managers are going to be rubbing their hands with glee at this result. They'll screw up the proposed revisions like they always do with the end result being even more bullying and harassment, oopps sorry meant "Culture" (union speak) because deliveries will be even more undoable than they currently are for loads of OPGs out there.

But hey look on the bright side you got some back pay and a small promise of an hour off the working week IF you meet all the savings needed :funneh

The feeling I got from talking to members was that it was not a very satisfactory agreement but there was no confidence that a better deal would be secured even if the talks had gone on another 2 years, there was an overall mistrust at the overselling by the union.

Most of them felt the agreement would be accepted comfortably but so no good reason to actively endorse it.
