Hand back the extra , let management manage worry about the excess. But for what it’s worth the union are throwing us under the bus so they can claim a victory with the shorter working week

Re: walk made bigger due to revision.
so the walks have got bigger even though you have less time to complete it
, that sounds about right with the full farce of the agreement anyway just do what you can do within your hours and take it back
, unless you want the overtime.

Probably need clarification.jgpostie68 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2021, 16:46Hi. some of our walks are being made bigger. do management have to give any notice. they told us today...they want us to start Mon.
If it's a revision then the Unit should get a vote on it with CWU involvement.
If it's just a minor adjustment of some walks to take into account new builds, equality issues etc, then its not a revision and they can change it but they would have been best going through the Union and getting feedback from the affected duties.

Correct, everyone in the office who wanted to do it had a go and resigned the postion after 2 weeks so we got someone from another office.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑07 Aug 2021, 18:18No one put their name into the hat to become your office rep?2yearpostie wrote: ↑07 Aug 2021, 16:58We never voted for him, we didnt have one so the union just sent him

Ours too, but 46 out of 72 people voted YES and only 3 said NO the rest didn't bother voting for it.
All this despite the rep and management proclaiming ''we're gonna get f****d".........and we have.

Didn't even local management have any say to what would happen with the revision

Re: walk made bigger due to revision.
We were told very little about it although the "goalposts" were always moving according to the rep, but he "did his best"SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑07 Aug 2021, 21:07Didn't even local management have any say to what would happen with the revision
Well his "best" is obviously s**t.
To be honest I lost interest when I realised I was gonna lose my float (full time) and end up reserve so ALL part-timers can get duty.
I've promptly cancelled my membership and quite like getting the extra £3.60 in my pay packet.

What's the difference between a "floater" and a "reserve" in DOs? We don't have "floaters" in MCs

Floaters cover rest days , reserves cover sick/annual/maternity leave .SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑07 Aug 2021, 23:03What's the difference between a "floater" and a "reserve" in DOs? We don't have "floaters" in MCs
