RM initiative of employing HGV drivers from within

Post by Neilr2710 »

Hi, has anybody on here completed the form that was asking for hgv licence holders who don’t currently drive hgv for Royal Mail ? If so has anyone had any kind of response to this? I believe the closing date was March 28th. I know this was something the union were keen for RM to do ( employ from within rather than use lots of agency) but I wonder in real terms wether it’s just RM paying lip service to the agreement . I have class 1 but cpc has run out but the form I completed for RM asked if I’d be happy to complete cpc in my own time ( of course). Southampton is my nearest Mail centre and I’m a postie in Fareham so not far away .

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
