My yes vote is in the post.

However, if you take industrial action, your employer will reduce your length of service with them by the number of days you were on strike. This is important when working out your pension and things like statutory redundancy pay.

Are you being serious?

Even if we went on strike for a few weeks that's hardly going to make any difference to any benefit calculations or for pensions. Certainly nothing you should be concerned about or a factor in deciding whether or not to vote for action.

Far more worrying is the thought of what your job might be like in a few years time if all your current benefits are removed\reduced as part of the great "race to the bottom" for working conditions.

To quote from Terry's leaflet 'There is no fence to sit on' - but you've found it!! I don't agree with everything
the union does/says but there is too much at stake here to not vote 'Yes'.......

Could Royal Mail take the union to court again for balloting for strike action before mediation has concluded.

Royal Mail are not going to give you any special treatment if you vote no. Any one of us will be cut regardless of if you vote yes and no.

Good grief.
So I take it you're worried about losing your job if you vote Yes, on a ballot paper, that RM cannot identify you on, before you've even taken strike action ????

Something I was wondering as well.

But surely the union can't be that inept to not have checked that first....

...Can they?

They will take us to court to try and block, whether they win or not is another thing but we have followed the rules, we've gone into mediation, the ceo hasn't turned up, plus if we get a large YES vote and then all that will go in our favour.
And a high court judgement only leads to more talks within a timescale and if that fails we are out on strike.
CUT OFF!!!

A pretty health poll at the moment, given the NO vote will be made up of managers and dicks on here then we're heading for victory.

Why are they dicks if they vote no... everyone is entitled to their own opinion..
