Re: Average holiday pay
I've not seen anything yet but seeing as RM were hoping to have reprogrammed PSP to work out holiday pay
as you take it, you could find that for any holiday you take in say the next few months, the 8 hours 'qualification'
might relate to OT you've worked in the later qualifying periods at the end of the 21/22 holiday
year (according to the extract from the agreement below, but we'll have to wait for an official update):

It is agreed that in the longer-term Royal Mail’s payroll system will be developed to
automate the inclusion of regular overtime pay in the calculation of holiday payments
as defined above and paid as close to the employee taking that holiday as the system
will allow. We jointly anticipate that a system will be in place with effect for the 2022/23
holiday year and will provide further joint updates accordingly and share the detail as
the system is developed. Changes to the payroll system will be broadly aligned with
the key principles set out in the section headed ‘Definition of Regular Overtime’. The
joint ambition will be to amend the PSP system so that when an employee takes a
period of qualifying holiday, the overtime worked by that employee in the 6 periods
immediately prior to their holiday will be reviewed to check that they have reached the
regularity threshold over that 6-period qualifying period.
