I was just wondering if anyone could put me right?
I was expecting average holiday pay in my wage calculation for my A/L commencing on 27/1/25
I am on A/L, and after being shafted for o/t in July 2024, by a stand in manager giving me none, even tho past and present iaverage 40/60 hrs a month..
I have now re built 5 qualifying periods in a row ending 29/12/24.
I have what I thought added a 6 period prior to my A/L.
Thus equalising or average holiday pay.
The 6th period I assumed would be for the 4 weeks starting from the last qualifying period ending29/12/24
Thus that being 30/12/24 - 26/1/25
My average pay periods used for calculating my A/L is quoted on app as to period ending 29/12/24.
I assumed the qualifying period would be to 26/1/25
I actually had done at least the 8 hours o/t halfway into this period
Can anyone help me make sense of this, please?
Please help if you can..

Since nobody has replied, you need to check how long you have worked for the business. I assume if it has been less than 12 months you are SOL or if not, your COM is shafting you for cash gains because you are worthless

Re: Average pay while on A_L qualifying period
There's a chart with the dates on 3 threads down from where he posted with the title "Dates for 2024".
Week on holiday start of Feb and now this overtime ban rules me out for next 6 months.
So I won't be doing anymore- this was pointed out to lino when I asked him did he want any doing and his answer was no.
(He's acting up and miraculously his name appears on o/t sheet every day).
They can fk right off I'm done with the place.

Re: Average pay while on A_L qualifying period
Hi
Many thanks for your replies
I've now seen that post..
What's odd is the Jan 2025 period is longer by a week.
As I've lost 3 weeks average holiday pay , approx £630 cash, by 1hr because I did not know the exact dates, I just hope it's accurate..
A stand in manager came in, took an instant dislike to me, didn't give me one hour in hour o/t in 4 weeks, even though i average approx 60 hrs a month, yet as soon as my normal manager came back he gave me o/t 7.00hrs, the trouble was I did not know it was the last day of a qualifying period.
So had to start the 6 months again and lost 3 weeks average pay.
The system is a joke, full stop...
But why does no one know the qualifying dates, not even the union reps in my office, they should be on display on each section ffs!
